A Reflection on Mortality and the Unknown feat. Poetry of Emily Dickinson – Poetry Corner

For this month’s edition of the Poetry Corner series, Delano Copprue reads two poems by Emily Dickinson. Born in 1830, Dickinson is one of the most famous women in the world of Poetry. Together with her contemporary Walt Whitman (who will be featured in April), she is credited as one of the founders of a uniquely American poetic voice. For Women’s History Month, we want to focus on the unique perspective women have on the end of life. The poems featured in this video grapple with mortality with a finality that only a poet of Dickinson’s caliber can capture.
