On August 19th, 2023, Mark Barger Elliott, Executive Director of the Completed Life Initiative, interviewed Lynda Bluestein at the CLI Film Festival in New York City. At that same event, we proudly and gratefully recognized her passionate advocacy with the Completed Life Initiative Pioneer Award.

The Completed Life Initiative would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Lynda who died on January 4th, 2024 at the time of her own choosing. Consistent with the way she lived, over this past year Lynda took steps to live an intentional, joyful, and completed life. Her commitment to a patient’s right to direct their end-of-life care led her to successfully challenge the State of Vermont for the right of non-residents to access Medical Aid in Dying.
