Ms. Willshire has been producing audio and video content for as long as she can remember. A lifelong cinephile, she has studied film, TV production, and has been independently producing podcasts for five years. Her intellectual curiosity inspired her to get a BA in Philosophy from Ithaca College, which expanded her horizons and deepened her appreciation for the arts. Before joining CLI, Ms. Willshire was working as a freelancer in Arts & Entertainment Journalism, and was producing multiple independent audio and video projects. Through her various podcast projects, Ms. Willshire has had the privilege of interviewing world-renowned and award-winning filmmakers, artists, and writers. Additionally, she has extensive experience in digital and in-person events as both a coordinator and presenter. This includes academic conferences, fan conventions, fundraisers, and live streaming.

In her time as CLI’s Multimedia Coordinator, Ms. Willshire has already led several successful projects. She helped launch the Roundtable Death Café series, facilitates the ongoing Community Death Café, booked the lineup for the 2022 Summer Arts Festival, is a producer of the Voices of the Completed Life podcast, manages CLI’s social media/email communications, and is the coordinator for all of CLI’s digital events. Additionally, Ms. Willshire is responsible for CLI’s in-house video production and graphic design.

Ms. Willshire’s mother passed away at 43 from Ovarian Cancer. Her close proximity to her mother’s death at the age of six, and her education in philosophy, has given her a sense of comfort around the subject of death. She feels that through modern media, such as podcasting, we can normalize the conversation around the end of our lives. Seeing how members of her family have benefitted from services like hospice care, she cares deeply about the rights and respect of the dying.

Ms. Willshire is originally from South Orange, New Jersey, but currently lives in Brooklyn with her cat, Winston. She enjoys hosting board and video game nights with her friends, listening to music in the park, and watching as many movies as possible. Her ultimate bliss comes from her weekly (or more) trips to the cinema.
